Bald Eagle Hunting

Ok, “hunting” may not be the most correct word to use here, but that’s basically what I’m doing except my ammo of choice is film. I’m an avid shutterbug, as most people that know me can attest. So when I found out that Bald Eagles migrate in to the town I’m currently relocated in – thanks US Army – I researched a bit then grabbed my Canon EOS Rebel T3i and hit the trails.

The following are my results. Each day I went got better and better. Even tho being displaced from my hometown by the Army, getting to snap some shots of wild Bald Eagles has turned out to be quite the exhilarating perk! Hope you enjoy!

  1. Beautiful job LAB. I love the close ups
I hope you get to see them fish and catch.Did I find the hidden one on the right near the top in the dark evergreen treetop? O can feel your pleasure in this adventure. Have you found the nest yet? That is spectacular also.

    • Thanks, Sweety! I have thoroughly enjoyed “hunting” these. It was unexpected at how MANY there are around the Milford Dam!!!

Only found one nest so far. And I got to see one eagle gutting a fish he caught. Gross.

And on the eagle spotting pic, you are close!

    • Thank you so much, Lauren! I hadn’t either …. in fact, I had to go to the grocery store today and adopted at least 5 of them along the way. Just sitting there in trees. I didn’t realize it would be so amazing when they migrated in.
